Brigitte Bardot and Roger Vadim’s wedding (1952)
On 21 December 1952, aged 18, Brigitte Bardot married director Roger Vadim in Paris. The couple met after the bourgeois Bardot appeared on the cover of a magazine and the director Marc Allégret, who Vadim was assisting, invited her to do a screen test. When her family forbade the teen from seeing the much older Vadim, she attempted suicide.
In the sixties, Bardot paved the way for the off-the-rack, no-fuss, leg-exposing bride. On her weddding to Vadim she wore a high-collared, bustled dress accessorized with muff and veil. According to the groom:
“Brigitte designed and chose the material for the white, handsewn wedding dress from Madame Ogive, the dressmaker on the Rue de Passy.” (source)
The couple divorced in 1957, but remained friends and collaborated in later work.

Ingrid Bergman on her Wedding Day (1937)
In 1937, at the age of 21, Ingrid Bergman (1915 – 1982) married Petter Aron Lindström; a dentist at the time, he would later study to become a neurosurgeon. The couple had a daughter, Pia. The marriage lasted until 1950, when she fell in love with Italian film director Roberto Rossellini on the set of Stromboli.
Lindström sued for desertion and waged a custody battle with Bergman for their daughter, and Pia did not reunite with her mother until 1957.

Shortly before Christmas 1966, Elvis had proposed to Priscilla. They got married on May 1, 1967, at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas.
The wedding featured very few guests and was over in only eight minutes.
It was followed by a quick press conference and a $10,000 breakfast reception, attended by friends, family, and business associates from MGM, RCA, and the William Morris Agency.
Following the reception, Elvis and Priscilla boarded a private jet and enjoyed a short honeymoon in Palm Springs.

Judy Garland and Vincente Minnelli Wedding (1945)
In 1945, 23-year-old Judy Garland married director Vincente Minnelli, her second husband.
Garland and Minnelli entered into a relationship, during the filming of Meet Me in St. Louis, after some initial conflict between them. Having to cope with Judy Garland’s chaotic behavior, Vincente Minnelli had to adopt an authoritarian attitude that slowly turned into a protective affection towards a self-depreciating and vulnerable actress. The relationship also surprised their entourage who observed that strange couple made of an elder effeminate director and a young troubled star.
While they were married, Garland and Minnelli worked together on The Clock (1945) and The Pirate (1948). Their daughter, Liza, was born in 1946, and the marriage lasted until 1951.
The romance began to weaken with Judy Garland’s worsened problems due in part to the discovery of her husband’s homosexuality that only increased the lack of confidence she had in herself, a postpartum depression and struggles in her career while Vincente Minnelli found himself in an ambiguous situation:
‘As director, I should have insisted on her fulfilling her assignment As concerned husband, I couldn’t. So I made excuses.’
The couple divorced in 1950 incapable of making one another happy (source).
